From a variety of Chequing & Savings accounts, Credit Cards, Mortgages, Loans and Lines of Credit to Retirement Planning, TD Canada Trust has all your Personal and Business Banking needs covered.
In August 2025, there was a suspicious transaction on my TD credit card. I called immediately, and TD cancelled the card. It took about three weeks to receive a replacement, so in the meantime I used my debit card for regular purchases. Later, I noticed that I’d been charged $75 in debit transaction fees as a result.
I went into a TD branch expecting the situation to be understood as a one-off circumstance — my card was compromised, and I had no choice but to rely on my debit account. However, the staff refused to reverse the charges. They were polite but completely unwilling to make any exception or show flexibility.
It wasn’t the $75 itself that mattered, but the lack of consideration for a long-term customer dealing with fraud-related issues. After that experience, I decided to move my banking to Access Credit Union, where I’ve found the service to be more personal and understanding.

I would like to give them a minus 1million. That's about what it is worth. We have been paying and using this place fro more than 30 years and never late, never missed a payment and when it got too high we paid it off. A payment of 200 was only 10 dollars off the amount, but we paid----ALWAYS .Then there was the mail strike ---AGAIN, and we thought because of not getting the bill we/ll pay more just to be sure. Well we paid and then we got a letter saying our rates now were 29% , because we didn't pay the correct amount ,even though we paid over our amount. We were $4.95 cents short so after 30 plus years they upped our interest to 29%.
Now what would a payment of 300, be? Nothing would basically come off. They are lucky that we are not deadbeats or decided to go the bankrupt way ---we a have a triple A credit rating and this is what they do to us after all these yrs? I wouldn't give them the time of day now We finally went to a better place and got one year with no interest and then a much lower rate later. This is a cautionary tale ---don't do this to yourself and avoid predatory banks like this. I thought that usury was illegal ,but banks can do whatever they want . Happy minus 1 million .
The ironic thing is that after we paid [ in full] our balance we got at least 15 letters asking us to come back and that we were valued customers, [RIGHT !] and they dearly wanted us back at a good rate --- 29% [!!!????] They are not too good at keeping a good thing. Tons of money ,always paid off and then re-borrowed and paid off etc, etc. If you think we were stupid ,we were. We never should have stayed with them and we never ever should have gotten into that much debt ,but things happen ,lots of things happened beyond just stupidity and ton and a half of really bad luck. Good-bye TD and I sure hope you others do not fall for you.

Bank manager does not know the right questions to ask to verify account in order to do a simple reset for PIN. I was directed to go home to collect my passport with my infant after already providing drivers license and two credit cards. Greatly inconvenienced. I am super disappointed in the service here.
