  Dear TD Canada Trust Customer Care, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an incident that occurred at your branch located at 1723 Kenaston Blvd, Winnipeg, MB. I accompanied my brother-in-law, who is visiting from Europe and does not speak or read English, to address an issue with a cheque. Upon arrival, it was clear he would need my assistance to communicate with staff. However, the branch manager’s conduct was unprofessional, aggressive, and highly disrespectful. When I explained that I would speak on my brother-in-law’s behalf, the manager dismissed me, stating, “I don’t need you, we can get a translator.” My brother-in-law made it clear that he preferred me to assist him, yet the manager insisted otherwise. We were then taken to a private room where the manager told me that, “for the way you reacted,” he could have me arrested, claiming he had the power to do so. This was an alarming and completely unnecessary statement. When I politely asked how long the process might take—since my brother-in-law had travelled with me and relied on me for transportation—the manager suggested I leave him there and said, with a smirk, “There’s public transport, isn’t there?” I have never encountered such a level of rudeness and lack of professionalism from a bank manager. This behaviour not only caused unnecessary stress for both of us, but it also demonstrated a complete disregard for customer care, cultural sensitivity, and accessibility needs. I request that this incident be investigated, that I receive a formal response from TD Canada Trust, and that appropriate action be taken to ensure no other customer experiences this type of treatment.

  DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE HAD FRAUDULENT TRANSACTIONS!!!! I spent an hour and a half in this branch today absolutely blown away at the incompetence of the employees, not 1 but 3 different employees could not help me get information I desperately needed. They also failed to properly ask for Id and verification when trying to get me a new debit card (one employee said to the main employee servicing me “well anyone can give a phone number you failed to ask these questions”) I am taken aback at the unprofessionalism, if I didn’t know any better I would’ve assumed that these people had never even heard of someone having a bank card stolen or that we were even in a bank. When calling customer service through the TD app within seconds they were able to give me the information I needed and said it should not have been a hassle to get this information either. Extremely disappointed and with a time sensitive matter I beg you please do not go here if you need competence

  Td made a policy change and now they want to hold all of my cheques deposited for 10 days even though they are coming from a trust account and from the same employer for 12 years without a single issue with 1 cheque. When I tried to call the branch nobody answers the phone but a computer system and they ask for you to type in the name of the person you want to reach. I just need to talk to the manager, I don’t know who is actually there in branch at that moment. This is unacceptable and I will be moving all my banking from TD.

  I went on easy line made an application I was told they could not complete it that I had to go into a branch . I followed up with an appointment the next day and was told that they could not complete my application process as I have more than one “ Equifax “ file .. very odd . Td said they will pull my credit bureau a couple of times which again … WHY ? You’re making my credit score go down each time . So unfair and extremely unacceptable. now keeping in mind I have good credit and I just bought a 2023 vehicle as well I also have a credit card .. This to me is highly suspicious and I was suppose to hear back from the bank Today and I haven’t heard back and I am not surprised… I feel I will be switching banks in the near future !!! Absolutely awful customer service and extremely sketchy!

  OMG this TD bank is a worst TD branch I have ever experienced from last ten years. They always have some issues when you go there.Not coming back at this branch anymore.Some of their staff members are not very friendly,are very rude(specially chinese girl) and always in hurry.Total waste of time.Needs to change this staff and get some professionals. Highly disappointed.
