When asked why I was choosing to close my accounts I told them politely, but honestly that their rates weren’t competitive and I was dissatisfied with the service I had been receiving. The staff at this location quickly reminded me why I was closing my accounts, belittling me when I didn’t immediately give them back my debit card (I planned to shred it myself) and treating me like an idiot. When I confronted them about the disrespectful tone they were addressing me with over a simple misunderstanding they tried to turn the tables and gaslight me saying that I was the one being rude and disrespectful. They then cut up my card in front of me and sarcastically asked “does that make you feel better”. Truly astounding to tell someone that you’re leaving because the customer service is poor, only to have them treat you rudely. I won’t miss TD.
