- JRJim ReissJun 16, 20233.0This convenient bank branch is well-staffed by friendly employees, and offers notarial services. The electronic bill-payments format has been changed a bit, and is functional, but not as clear-to-understand as -- for instance -- that of TD Bank. People's is definitely a low-added-cost bank. But there are PROBLEMS. First of all, it seems difficult to get any sort of major customer telephone service after-hours, on weekends, or on national holidays. Secondly, because of this bank's non Federal-reserve system status, only a PORTION of larger deposits are actually available to the accountholder for 7 calendar days, or more. (This would be in contrast to the situation at Bank of America, or TD, or M&T Bank --- where all deposited funds from a Federal Reserve Bank are available within 2 days). Thus, electronic bill payment from a People's account might present difficulties if a deposit check had not yet "cleared" into your checking account.... Finally, check deposits via the Bank's ATM do not generate images of checks deposited, if you are just using the ATM machine and its touchscreen. I have never spent less than 4 or 5 minutes of "teller time" when I deposited a single check with the bank teller. Using the ATM card at the teller window does not appear to shorten this procedure.
