Yet I try to open an account for my son as a rep payee, and they want to see a social security CARD! It states in the manual Social Security NUMBER. So I had every chance to get this done today but untrained employees dont know anything. Id rather leave the bank all together than have idiots in charge of everything I own.

Since then, WCU closed to nearby branches and any attempt to interact via chat or phone is a nightmare. When trying to reach a local branch representative I ended up in a "contact center" which sounded like an offshore experience. I was informed that if I wanted to speak with a local person I could submit a request and within 1 to 3 business days I would hear back. When I tried to cash out my maturing CD I was told it would be between 7 and 10 days to receive a check. I've been a customer for 6 years and today I closed out all my accounts.
