I have had Peoples Bank for 10+ years and have never has an issue until just recently trying to open my business account. I was getting extremely frustrated with the other branches lack of effort and complacency. I came to the East Longmeadow branch and they resolved the issue and were able to open the account. Most importantly they actually cared enough to try and help me, rather than saying “sorry can’t help you” and sending me on my way. I just want say thank you so much to all of you, and I would recommend this branch 10/10.

I transferred money to this bank, and I was informed via their mobile banking app that it is on hold, so I call to see what the holdup is… turns out they say they found the amount I transferred was suspicious. I ask to get in touch with a customer service specialist, the specialist tells me I can’t get my money for 6 additional days on top of the 3 days I’ve been waiting. Meanwhile the amount has already cleared from the bank I transferred the money from, so they clearly have the money. Now I’m being told that the money is on hold because the amount that I’m transferring into the account is not greater than the current account’s balance… this doesn’t even make any sense mathematically and logically, considering if they are worried about the check bouncing back the amount that would be deducted from the account would be the equivalent of the amount that went in in the first place. Needless to say, I’m done with this bank, and I don’t recommend anyone else use this bank.
