Dexter was really nice........so my issue is not with him......and I don't necessarily have an issue with here, I just don't like how the conversation went when trying to explain and understand the "personal property" insurance you are forced to have, once I contacted my homeowner's insurance. when I was told that there was an extra (idk...) $50/mth added to my bill for property insurance, I told them I didn't need it, but it was apparently mandatory because the items were used to secure my loan. so the only 2 options you have is to pay them, or to add them to your homeowner's insurance as a loss payee. I never had to do that before, but they told me that if a tree fell on my roof, then they would get paid before I do for my roof - even though the damage to my roof might have absolutely nothing to do with the personal property used to secure the loan.......I was going to add them to my insurance, but when I asked how it affected my insurance, they did not know. once I spoke to my insurance company, they said it sounded like they were putting a lien on my house, when they shouldn't since my house has nothing to do with the loan. i went into the office so they can speak to my insurance company, and the owner or manager just kept saying that "I" didn't understand what they said because they told me how it worked, and that the personal property needed to be covered by them or my homeowners insurance, and she kept saying if I didn't like or wasn't satisfied with "MY DECISION", then I can't get a loan from my bank and pay them off or pay them off early so that I don't pay all of the insurance. and that kept pissing me off because I understood what they said how it worked, and I was aware of my decision to get the loan.......so that's neither here nor there, I was just trying to make the next decision on whether I wanted to pay them more monthly for it or to not pay them but have them listed as a lien on my house for property that might not get damaged if i have a roof claim, but they will get paid first.........so just know that this is how it works with your homeowner's insurance.......but if you just have renter's insurance, you don't have to worry about a lien being on your house.......but the idea that they get paid first will still be the same. so before you get a loan with them......this is what you're signing up for......so talk to your homeowner's insurance company first before agreeing to listing them or just pay them the extra for it. or go somewhere else........not every loan company requires this.........I know One Main Financial doesn't.......

Called for information on payment options on my account and Anita a representative was very rude and didn't want to be bothered so she put me on hold and transferred me to another agent that sayed he was in training for assistant manager, I asked him why was I transfer if all I wanted to ask was a general wuestion about payment options and his reply was that Anita had a "saltery" disposition what ever that means and that he would be better able to assist. REALLY!!

What is the difference between pre-qualifying for a loan and applying for a loan?
Pre-qualification gives you an estimate of loan terms you may qualify for based on your credit and the
information you provide. Final approval and loan terms are contingent on completion of a full loan
application.
I received a loan check in the mail, is it real?
Yes, it is a real loan check! A loan check is a pre-approved loan offer. Click here for more information
about our loan checks.
What is the difference between interest rate vs APR?
The interest rate deals with the costs you will pay to borrow money. The interest rate only includes
the interest percentage you will be charged for borrowing the money and does not include any other
fees you might be required to pay on the loan.
The Annual Percentage Rate (“APR”) is not the same as the interest rate. The APR is the interest rate
plus the fees you may be required to pay on the loan (i.e., origination fees, closing fees, documentation
fees, and other finance charges) and is expressed in terms of a percentage rate. The APR will typically be
higher than your interest rate.
What does it mean to refinance my loan?
Refinancing a loan replaces your existing loan with a new loan that potentially has a new interest rate,
revised terms, and/or revised repayment timeline. The remaining balance of your former loan will be
included in the loan amount of your refinanced loan along with any loan origination fees and voluntary
insurance products you agree to purchase, if allowed by state law.
