Everyone has been friendly, polite, and helpful. Abigail was so very kind and explained everything clearly and walked me through alternatives as well while exploring loan options and the factors which impact the application. Highly knowledgeable and capable with excellent customer service! Thank you so much!

Truist has... definitely been something. I joined when I was a kid with the help of my dad when it was BB&T. And back then, they would be SUPER helpful. But right now, it just seems like your traditional big bank joke. Any time I've really needed their help, they've just turned a blind eye. This was the last straw. To start, I began having hardships back in June/July. I made some transactions to help cut spending in my monthly budget. And because I thought it was an error on my card, due to processing a transaction several times, they locked my card. No big deal, my fault. Called fraud, verified all my information, all my transactions, never once said anything wasn't me. Then they ask me to give them a phone number that they can send a verification code to, and they send me the code, but don't see that we received it. I notify the woman on the phone that the phone number is no longer active, and that she would need to send the code to another phone number. The one I was calling her on. She said "No, I needed you to verify the phone number on the account." That's not what she said. So I advised her to give me access to my money that I worked hard for, or the money gets transferred to another account, and Truist loses out on my business. Of course, the money got transferred away. I go to this location, to try and get my account back, to meet Ginny. She seemed helpful at first, but doesn't seem to show any sort of sympathy towards my situation. I could be wrong, I could have also been furstrated. I've already understood that I may have messed up, but throwing policy in my face doesn't really help. And when you can't verify a phone number, something that can change often, it's a little... strange. But after looking at my account, she mentions that the account had already been closed due to it having no money in it. Shame on me for giving this place another try, huh? To give it one last hoorah, I ask how we can reinstate the account, only for her to tell me I need to make a deposit to open the account back up. Not only that, but it would take until about Monday to get another card. So wait, customer support closed my account without me telling them, and now that I'm here, in person, you can't give me my account back? Amazing. So, this chapter with this bank has come to an end. It's rough, because you'd think that a bank you've been with for about roughly 11 years would be a little more understanding. But when you lose yourself to investments, you tend to care a little less about people.

Truist is a huge downgrade from BB&T. Everything is more complicated than it used to be, there are fees that never existed before, and avoid ever needing help after hours, because email customer support is now unavailable, chat support is an automated bot that never lets you get to a real person, and phone support is outsourced to foreign call centers and just tells you to call your branch once it's open. Even the local branch part is a problem, because they also closed my local branch, so now I have to go clear downtown if I want to visit a branch. We'll be moving our accounts to a different bank soon because it's just one headache after another with Truist now.
