To be fair and clear here this review is not towards this branch, it is towards northwest bank: So i purchased a car and had it financed, they chose northwest. I have dealt with many financial institutes ect, in this case my objective was to pay it off once i received my first statement. So 3-4 weeks go buy no statement, i tried to create a log in, nothing worked so i called, they said i cannot pay it is not set up yet. I then asked when does interest begin to accrue, they state the day the loan began, i said and yet i can’t pay it to prevent the daily interest charge? Nope, so fast forward i get my statement it’s due 2 weeks after i can now create an online account and learn i cant click and pay unless i have a checking or savings with northwest. So i call and im told i will pay 9.95 to do a payment by phone!?? Nearest branch is over a hour away. Only other option is to Link my chase with this bank, once they deposit 3 small deposits into my chase act i can then verify it and its linked. Well i’ve waited now a week for northwest to put 3 small deposits in my chase account so i can link it. So here i am nearing my due date and accounts are not linked, interest has accrued to an account inwhich i cannot pay with a 9.95$ fee. I am planning to file a complaint with the proper regulatory agency as these seems off to me. 1) how can you charge interest on a loan your not allowing your customer to pay on, and 2) how do you not allow your customer to pay without a charge when there is no other options. This bank has what i consider unfair practices and once my account is linked it will be paid off and i will ensure to never do business with this institute again. Be aware of this bank.

The staff is amazing and are just doing their jobs. The bank its self is awful and anti consumer. They want to get as much money from you as they can. Getting my credit card closed has been a 3 month process. The over draft fees are 40$ a day and they’ll waive it one time. Most good banks won’t charge you unless your at least 50 bucks in the hole and they’ll usually give you a day to get out of it… not northwest if your account goes negative a penny for a day you all the sudden owe them 37 dollars and then everyday you’re in the hole they’ll continue to dig it for you charging you 37$ dollars a day which is absolutely ridiculous in this economy. Don’t be mad at the staff be mad at the company… they suck. Do your research before you choose a bank

Northwest is awful. I would not recommend it to anyone. It takes at least a week to update transactions. We got 2 overdraft fees in the same day not sure why and they couldn’t give us a refund.
