Centra Credit Union began when eight employees of the Cummins Engine Company came together to find a convenient place to save their hard-earned money while having access to low-cost credit. This foundational principle of "People Helping People" led to the growth of Centra Credit Union and is still at the center of who we are. As a not-for-profit financial institution, our profits go back to you in the form of cash rewards, better rates, and lower fees. When you open an account at Centra, you become one of the owners of the Credit Union. Centered Around You: that’s the Centra promise. They have since cleared things up and refunded the charges incurred due to the miscommunication, and they have promised to better inform people who open these accounts to avoid future mishaps. Will continue to bank with them going forward. 👍

Last Friday when buyers for our home demanded we close on our home with only 12 hours notice, Amber was so kind to help us with notarizing documents and scanning them back to the closing company. We were so stressed due to the short time frame we had to return the documents. We greatly appreciate Amber’s knowledge, professionalism and consideration for what we needed to have done. She definitely went above and beyond to assist us. We will greatly miss our Scottsburg Centra Branch team.
