  Worst bank service EVER! ONLINE BANKING DOSE NOT FUNCTION!!!! SO SO SICK OF THE LACK OF CHOICES FOR BANKING IN MONTICELLO.

  We went in today to start a business account with them. It started off pretty good because we talked to Matt who did really great (and the ladies behind the counter with her were super super sweet too) so I don’t like doing this but the interaction turned bad as soon as the manager came out, and it went REALLY far south. We got to the check we were depositing into the account. 1st they couldn’t find the account number. Well the “manager” Melissa then took over without saying anything to us. Calls someone to “help”. Well apparently they’ve come to the conclusion it’s fraudulent, all because they couldn’t find the account number. So in front of our children the ENTIRE staff and customers…She walked in and said bad news this check is fraud…exact words with her arms crossed and everything. When I said oh no no she cut me off and said it IS fraudulent. So I called the person who issued the check and put her on speaker. Manager Melissa cuts me off again thinking she was gonna prove she was correct and starts rapid firing questions to her about the check, and the issuer was rapid firing the correct information right back at her. She even said at that point (a little late don’t ya think) “I need to get closer so I feel like I’m not yelling) She had already gotten everyone’s attention and I mean EVERYONE. She had to send it to the fraud department for a reason. It’s because it is their job to clarify that. She had no confirmation yet she thought she had busted someone. She got great joy in her false findings and meanwhile made us look like lowlifes in there trying to deposit a fraudulent check. That our business is on the receiving end of. I mean we had given them our socials, IDs, address, all of our business info. I mean come on. She should have said there is something we feel is not right and we need to look into. Not declare with such assurance that it IS a fraudulent check. I cannot wait until the owners of this company tell her she’s dead wrong and I am %100000 sure she IS going to get that information. I understand she has a job to do and that’s part of it. That’s fine but making a seen where everyone is looking at us (EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE BANK) like we are lowlifes…I’m still upset. We drove an hr and a half to get there and she took our check and called us frauds for everyone to see. I have no idea how to be a banker but I know that i could have handled that better than she did. That was so unprofessional. You have to use your words in a certain way in a professional position like she is in. She got all hyped up because she thought she was busting someone I can’t wait till she finds out she how wrong she was because we aren’t their only contractors and they have all been paid from this same exact account. And trust me if I was even slightly unsure about this check don’t you think I would be trying to hide out not put it out there for everyone to see. That was hard to deal with. We will NOT be banking with them
