- GTGene TenbargeOct 15, 20251.0We opened two checking accounts for my wife and I for personal use. Trying to get on-line access was a complete nightmare. Long story short, we ended up on a phone line with a very nice Indian lady after holding for 25 minutes only to be told that we will have to visit a local branch to have on-line access. This was the poorest system I have ever seen for setting up on-line access. I did get help with the on-line access, but then deposited a check from my own Chase bank account trying to transfer funds to Old National. I received a notice by snail mail from ONB saying that my deposit, of my own money, would be held for nine days! I also ordered checks for my new checking account, was charged $30, and received only 50 checks. That’s 60 cents per blank check!!!
- GGGeorgeSep 10, 20251.0Shoutout to Old National Bank for redefining what “customer service” means. Who needs local help when you can ship your financial questions all the way to the Philippines? Genius move, guys. They scooped up my auto loan on June 7th, then apparently went on vacation until August 11th before remembering to send the title memorandum. Meanwhile, my plates expired in July, so I had a perfectly good car sitting in the driveway like an expensive lawn ornament. Couldn’t drive it, but don’t worry—they still wanted their money. Because obviously, paying for something you can’t use is peak customer satisfaction. Now we’ve got a court date at the end of the month. I’ll bring the popcorn, Old National—you bring the excuses. I’m sure it’ll be entertaining watching you explain why six weeks of incompetence is somehow my fault. So if you’re thinking of doing business with Old National Bank, ask yourself: Do you enjoy stress, delays, and paying for nothing? If yes, congratulations—you’ve found your bank. If not, don’t walk… run.

They took the app away when I fell behind on my payments due to a hard ship. And they say it's there policy to do that. Now when I do call the person I have to go through is never there I'm always calling multiple days to try and pay.

Dropped the ball repeatedly for weeks on end, placing my elderly mother's account on hold for "fraud investigation". This took weeks!!! Wasted many hours of my time trying to unravel. At the end, they closed my elderly mother's account as they "didn't feel comfortable with the relationship". My advice, steer clear. So many other good banks to do business with! The counter help was very friendly and tried to help as best they could with their hands tied. (update) After this post I got the same copy/past response as all other negative reviews. They don't really care or they would reach out to me instead of asking for an email. Pathetic!
