- BSBarney Storrs StorrsApr 15, 20251.0I recently moved to Evansville and there are no Wells Fargo banks, so I informed the rep that I was opening this account with the sole purpose of transferring a profit check that I just received to my Wells Fargo account. First of all it 2 weeks to for the funds to be available after I made the initial deposit, then when I tried to make the transfer, the limit for transfers is $7500 which I was not told and then when I tried to make that transfer they put a hold on my account for a fraud alert and now are holding my money another week to investigate my account. They should have told me from the start that I would not be able to move over $7500 because I wouldn't have even opened the account in the first place and now they are holding my money even longer, when they have no damn right to hold my funds! DO NOT bank here.
