Centra Credit Union began when eight employees of the Cummins Engine Company came together to find a convenient place to save their hard-earned money while having access to low-cost credit. This foundational principle of "People Helping People" led to the growth of Centra Credit Union and is still at the center of who we are. As a not-for-profit financial institution, our profits go back to you in the form of cash rewards, better rates, and lower fees. I called the client center on Friday to make sure I can do a wire for a home closing at the Taylorsville branch before I make the drive down. I arrive and was told I needed to have an appointment.... even though the one in the office was available. Tellers didn't have wire training either. The amount of time the employees messaged back and forth, the wire could've already been done. They don't take that long. Saturday is critical for the ones who can't make it to the bank during the week and to have this experience when I needed Centra is terrible service. If I need an appointment for anything other than cashing/depositing, put a sign on the door.
