I was called back for a return visit in which, for 1.5 more hours, this gentleman repeated back to me my retirement information only (not my top priority) & sent me away with a proposal to "manage" my IRA for a fee of approx. $400/month (& this was with a 20% discount "just for me"!). There was no mention of my actual priorities; of any fees for opening an account, of any fees for maintaining the 15-20 mutual funds recommended for this single account (are you kidding me?!), or of any privacy or security measures that would be used to protect my personal information. I received a 17 page report (which I was told "was over 30 pages!") that simply spit out the information I already provided in graph form on slick paper. I was told we would deal my priorities "later." No thank you.
