We're a community bank whose roots are right here in the heartland with the Drake family. The Drakes, who came to Central Illinois in 1852, have been in banking since 1920. With the third generation of the family taking an active role in the banking business, we continue this tradition. Banking is personal. We build strong customer relationships by getting to know our customers and understanding their needs. The phrase "small enough to know you, big enough to serve you" is what Heartland Bank is all about.

I became a customer because of the merger of Town & Country Bank. The merger has been a life altering horrendous living nightmare. They were deceitful to the existing customers that this merger was going to be seamless. My accounts have been overdrawn. My remote teller deposit machine for my business does not work. Mobile banking does not work. And, worst of all, any statement prior to the merger is non-existent. I now cannot file my 5 sets of taxes for 2022 for my businesses and I cannot access the info my CPA needs to reconcile my 8 accounts from Jan 1st to present (May 18). DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANKING INSTITUTUION. Run as fast as you can from these people. They're completely unavailable and unconcerned with the needs of their customers.
