We're a community bank whose roots are right here in the heartland with the Drake family. The Drakes, who came to Central Illinois in 1852, have been in banking since 1920. With the third generation of the family taking an active role in the banking business, we continue this tradition. Banking is personal. We build strong customer relationships by getting to know our customers and understanding their needs. The phrase "small enough to know you, big enough to serve you" is what Heartland Bank is all about.
DO NOT BANK HERE!
I went in to assist my mother with banking. She has memory loss. They treated me like I was financially abusing her and even mentioned elder abuse.
Bank vigilence is extremely important. Elder abuse is a horrendous crime. This was not bank vigilence. This was Heartland Bank making sure to protect themselves at the expense of my mother's ACTUAL wellbeing.

I deleted a bad review of this bank because at the point and time nobody seemed to be able to answer my questions. I went the the branch on Wabash on Saturday and a young girl I believe her name was Grace took my information and said would pass it on to the give her until Minday..I was in the area on Monday and to see if they had any answers for me. Then I spoke with a Ms Kathy Summers she goggled my questions and within a few minutes she had the answer to the question. It put my faith back into this bank.I suggests if anyone has any questions about Heartland Bank go see them on Wabash instead of the other 2 branches here in Springfield

I reviewed Heartland Bank before but apparently they deleted all their reviews (probably because they have had many negative reviews). This is a follow up on my previous review. They sent me a form letter saying that they apologize for the long wait times online and that I could just use the call back feature. I am currently online with them (for 10 min) and the call back feature is not working. Town and Country was a great bank and all the people at the local bank are wonderful but Heartland is just a mess.
