  IBT must have been bought out because their ATM screen says a different name. Had such difficulties with transactions, kept saying failure multiple times on different days. Ended up having to go around through the drive-through doing the deposit the old way then today is the weekend and I’m trying to deposit cash into the ATM and getting a failure notice with that again. If all features on the ATM are not going to work then there needs to be a notice up on the ATM. Never had any issues prior to the buyout or merger

  Deeply Disappointed – A Warning to Others I wish I could give zero stars. Our experience with Illinois Bank and Trust following the death of our mother was not only heartbreaking—it was infuriating. Despite taking all the proper legal and financial steps ahead of time to ensure a smooth transition of her account, the bank denied us access and made an already painful time even more stressful. We followed every protocol. We had documentation, legal authority, and a clear plan in place. But none of that mattered to this institution. Instead of compassion or professionalism, we were met with resistance, red tape, and flat-out rudeness—particularly from Judy, who was dismissive, condescending, and completely unfit for any customer-facing role. Judy showed no empathy, interrupted us repeatedly, and made it seem like we were the problem for trying to carry out our mother’s wishes. It was not just unhelpful—it was insulting. No grieving family should ever be treated this way. This experience has left us with zero confidence in this bank’s integrity or customer service. If you are considering setting up accounts here for estate planning—don’t. And if you value kindness or competence in times of need, look elsewhere. We expected a partner in a difficult time and instead got a cold wall of bureaucracy and disrespect. Shame on Illinois Bank and Trust for turning a family’s loss into an unnecessary battle.

  Lately, if I call to make a payment over the phone using my debt card, the transaction is logged and deducted right away then a day or two later the money is back in my account and the transaction doesn't show up again for several days to a week later. It's really difficult to remember all of your transactions when using a debit card which makes balancing your account so much fun. This has been happening for a number of months. I'm pretty fed up and I am currently searching for a new bank! I do not recommend this bank! I'm sure for people who don't remember every transaction, this can make it easy to overdraw your account and lead to bank overdraft fees. It hasn't happened to me yet. I'm sure it's easy money for the bank though!

  They steal your money an when someone does actually steal money from your account they don’t do anything never use
