- RMRon McRaeSep 12, 20251.0Opening a checking account took an inordinate amount of time with the banker, extending beyond the allotted one hour. After finalizing all the paperwork with the banker our initial deposit (to formally open the account) gets taken by the banker to the teller window. The crazy part is that their protocol involves the banker standing IN THE REGULAR LINE. In our case the line was 13+ customers but, because we'd already used up more than our one hour appointment, our banker chose to move on to her next customer assuring us that the teller had been told to monitor our effective position in the line and service us at that point. NOT SO MUCH - didn't quite work out that way - we got overlooked and it ultimately took a further 30 minutes and some complaining to get us served, hence the negative review. Bottom line, we'd been in the bank working with a banker since well before any of the customers in the line, so our deposit should have been handled by having the banker work directly with the next available teller, not at the end of the line. Ultimately we waited for the bonus to be paid and immediately closed the account. Stupid crazy system that should be rethought. They don't deserve our business.

Even though they have paid millions in fines because of it, they are still doing it! My youngest daughter opened an account with them because she didn't know their history. I told her and she closed her account IMMEDIATELY! I would keep my money under my mattress before I would EVER open account with them!
