I came from the East Coast and everything there is more up-to-date. This Midwest area is just so old and needs major updating for everything. Their hours also don’t conform to working class individuals. I will be looking for a new bank
- TGTina GAug 29, 20241.0Ignorant staff!! I went thru the drive thru and was told I couldn't cash a check on a joint account. I corrected the staff, very kindly and it was taken care of. I was asked if that was all and I was going to reply, yes thank you and have a great day. I only got out part of my yes and was cut off by the lady saying over me, K thanks bye. And she walked away. Grateful this isn't my usual location. Be professional!!
- MSMarge SzalkoMay 8, 20231.0I was a First Midwest customer for over 20 years. The Old National Bank service on 159th and Wolf is what is making me seek a new bank to use. Their tellers are incredibly slow. No matter what time or day I go the wait is at least ten minutes. Last week I waited 35 minutes in the drive thru. I would have left but I was between 2 cars and couldn't get out. When I commented to the teller how long I had been waiting he replied "Well you are being taken care of now". No apology. I went in to inquire about a home equity loan. The woman told me to have a seat and she would be with me soon. She then proceeded to type an email and then made a call where she was placed on hold (she had the speaker on). I was the only customer in the place. I thought that was rude so I left. Her call could have waited and I wasn't going to sit there while she was on hold for who knows how long. I am done with Old National Bank.

I prefer customer service and the bankers knowing me over the more modern, online only, tech savvy banking my kids do. Online banking may offer the more modern approach but I am happy with going to the bank and I’ve never been disappointed w service there. I strongly recommend if service matters! **3yrs later: I feel a bit of an update is needed since I wrote this review and Old Natl Bank had just taken over 1st Midwest. Ahem.. I have no major issue with them but they are really not the customer friendly bank I thought they were when 1st had taken over. I still have to present my drivers license to deposit pay check and keep a few bucks out cash. I’m all for security I really am but some common sense needs to be used also! If I forget it can you just ask me moms maiden name?? Another issue?? They won’t put my balance on the deposit slip unless I request.. I always do! I think I’m, at best, at 75:25 NOT getting it printed on slip. When tube comes back and I saw no amount this last trip? I press button and got ‘yeah??’ Lol! Omg ‘yeah?!’ So I say ‘you forgot again to type or write the balance so can you just tell me it plz?’ Sorry no.. send the tube back and..I just drove off and set up online banking. Congrats! You are literally talking yourself out of a job bc the worst change is the drive up w less staff but also less clients takes FOREVER!! I’m pretty patient but I’ve waited upwards of a half hour in drive up for simple payck deposit, little cash back transactions!! Ok! I’m done. Let’s change that review to 3 stars.. any lower I shall be at another bank..
