  I want to express my appreciation to Markeela McDonald, my banker at the Old PLank Trail Homer Glen Branch, who heard me and filed a complaint for me. I'm a founding member of OPT and it made me proud to be a part of this bank when it started. My checks have always had this printed on them. When I went to order new checks with Markeela's help, the order came back saying I'm a Founder of Wintrust Bank in Joliet. Not a big thing but it's the principal of the thing and I went to Markeela saying this is wrong. I never expected OPT under the Wintrust corporation to fix it. But Markeela McDonald made phone calls, was told it couldn't be fixed and then filed a complaint for me. It worked and I received new checks and a letter saying training to staff was provided to prevent this from happening. I made sure that I thanked her in person, and then to write this review to make sure you know that she is an efficient, determined, and caring staff member of your bank. When Old Plank Trail first opened, I appreciated that it felt like a friendly family bank that recognized its customers and could do anything the big banks can do. The staff at the Homer Glen branch, and especially Markeela McDonald, are wonderful representatives of this ideal.

  One of the worst banks ever..we had a cd mature with 16000.00 in it making over 4 percent interest ...they rolled it over a week after the maturity date to another cd only earning .3 percent yes you heard that right. Point 3 not 3 percent..and we would be penalized if we took it out...most banks were offering cds over 4 percent..stay away from this type of shenanigans

  Every time I've gone to Old Plank Trail bank, (Homer Glen) the experience was excellent. No matter if the visit was walk in or drive-thru the bank people were always pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this establishment!
