- DWDonna WimberleySep 12, 20251.0I stopped at the Hawthorn Woods Community Bank today in Lake Zurich. I was going on vacation and needed to exchange $400 in 20’s for 4 $100 bills. They could not accommodate me because I was not a current customer. I explained that I was looking for a local bank but because of time constraints I couldn’t open any accounts at that time, but would be back when I was not as rushed. They were not able to exchange my bills because I was not a current customer. So I guess I will never be a current customer if that is the level of customer service. Thanks for letting me know upfront.

The service is wonderful. Everyone in the branch looks happy. It feels welcoming at a time when when so many businesses are moving away from that personal touch, they are running towards this! Love it!
