- JSJim ScottOct 20, 20191.0Terrible customer service, slow deposit processing. They process debits before deposits in hopes they can overdraw you and charge you the overdraft fee. I used to be a NorStates customer for 15 yrs with only a couple of issues. Since the merger it's been nearly nothing but problems. I also have a Chase Bank account. Excellent customer service! I will be closing my account with First Midwest and do ALL my banking with Chase! Update: closed the account.
