  Wonderful experience at the branch over the weekend. Veronika Yankov was excellent in moving from my former bank to Glenview Bank & Trust. She thoroughly assisted with my family's Veronika provided us with all necessary follow-up steps in moving funds where needed. She went above and beyond to fully welcome us to Glenview Bank & Trust & overall services. Wendy was also extremely helpful with assisting with additional services! Looking forward to continuing my banking needs with Glenview Bank & Trust/Northbrook Bank & Trust and Wintrust Bank!

  Not a pleasant visit, went into this location today to cash/ deposit a check and felt very unwelcome. It was very apparent that the female banker that addressed me and the lady she said was the VP felt some type of way. The lady that was said to be the VP stated what the bank policies are and stated what the standard protocol is, just to say that she was trying to help out by "letting" me deposit a check. When in actuality I had every right to deposit the check. Thing is, they thought the check was fraudulent (AND IT WAS NOT!!!). It was very evident that the incident was racially motivated. The so called VP insinuated that she was being disrespected because of her sex (female) and accent (speech). First of all, I'm a WOMAN... secondly, there wasn't a language barrier. I heard everything she said clearly. BUT since I had questions, it was said to be disrespectful. Once the so called VP was asked if she was responding and acting in the manner she was due to me being Brown, she was quick to tell me if I didn't like what she was telling me, that my business could go elsewhere. As a VP, why would you push business away from your location? Makes no sense, very weird. This is what happens when I support a local businesses, smh. Just like we all bleed red, we all have green money. I'm not surprised, just disgusted. Kudos to the female teller, as I've never had any bad interactions with her. The Wilmette, Evanston, and Chicago locations are great. As I stated I've done business here at this location before and never interacted with this so called VP. First impression means a lot, and today's interaction was HORRIBLE.

  I asked about opening a checking account. The woman said they charge $100 to open an account. I said " you have to be kidding me, $100 to open an account?". Here response," if you don't like it, you can bank elsewhere." I was a commercial banker for ten years, with attitudes and policies like this, I don't know how they stay in business.
