He gave me a good suggestion, but rather than helping me to implement it he became critical and the meeting ended poorly. There was no follow-up or summary of the meeting in writing. TIAA used to be a service company who cared about their clients, but apparently that is not who thwy are today;

Instead, it is actively trying to become commercial bank. Probably one of its shortsighted corporate overlords is under quarterly pressure and has decided to sell off the values and virtues in the search for pointless power. Instead of caring for its customers, it restricts their investment opportunities. Also, it is inept. Inept and careless. AVOID NIW IF YOU CAN. Most universities are now actively working with other financial institutions. I am, unfortunately, stuck.
