  I went to this Church Street branch yesterday, December 9, 2025, at 4:20PM wanting to open a savings account and deposit $30,000. No body greeted me or asked what help I needed. I patiently sat there until 5:00PM when a security type person came over to tell me the bank was closed and I should get out. I pointed out that I had been waiting since about 4:30PM and needed to open an account. At that point the account executive Cynthia who had not noticed me until then even though I was sitting right in front of her, yelled at me, “Do you have an appointment?” No I did not. I had been a Citibank customer since 1989, for some 36 years and have known that an appointment is not necessary to open an account. Walk-ins are welcome. At that point the floor manager Elizabeth got involved and rudely asked me to leave. So I did. If the senior general manager at this branch, or in the Citi network, happens to read this, I would invite them to check their video from yesterday to see when I arrived there, how long I waited, whether anybody tried to find out why I was there and if there was anybody there who could help me. And if nobody was there to help me, then I could have left and come back another time instead of wasting 40 minutes of my time only to be rudely asked to leave. This was not the first time I had been rudely treated there. The last time it happened I decided not to post negative feedback but instead closed my accounts there as soon as I could arrange to move my direct deposits. But this time around I decided to look into posting negative feedback. In the process I also noticed how lowly this branch is rated. It seems I’m not the only one unhappy about the customer service at this branch. If I could give this branch less than one star, I would. BTW, all the tellers at this branch are extremely good. Very pleasant, very polite, very knowledgeable, and very efficient. Many thanks to them for many years of professional service. Finally, I second the following one star review posted by Maria Torres: They are so BAD. I am very unhappy with the service provided by Manager Elizabeth. She is incompetent and doesn't know how to deal with customers!

  Great people, shitty customer service, don’t get their credit card- there’s no way easy to connect it to your citi account and pay for it, customer service is just a bot repeating non existing problems for me and not addressing the issue, it’s messed up hoe bad their process is, like I have a credit card from the same company at the same time and then i have the bill for the credit card but the credit card is not connected to the account and no way to understand how to even do it
