- WMWill MunroOct 30, 20241.0Set up an appointment for savings and checking account. Was turned away because I didn’t have the proper paperwork/identification. I was told I needed forms of proper ID showing current address. I had an ID but needed documentation showing my current address. The next day I stopped into the bank showing all my paperwork and ID to make sure it was acceptable before I set up another appointment. I spoke to the man behind the desk, showed him my paperwork, and he said it was acceptable. So I set up an appointment for the next day at 430pm. I showed up at 425pm seeing as I literally live 50 yards away from the bank. The bank closes at 5pm. So I waited til about 450pm til a lady sitting at a cubicle in the back came out and started asking the ppl in line, one at a time, what their purpose for being at the bank is. Finally, she got to me and I told her I’m here for a 430pm checking/savings account appointment. She brought me to her cubicle and I gave her my paperwork and when she got to the bill that I brought in to confirm my address, which I came into the bank a day before and got confirmation that it was OK, she said it was not okay. I tried to tell her I came to the bank the day before and checked to make sure everything was acceptable to prevent this same exact issue from happening, she cut me off and told me “well I’m regional manager and I’m telling you this isn’t acceptable.” I felt like she couldnt wait to tell me that. Well long story short, I took that same paperwork and opened up and savings and checking at Bank of America down the road from that dumpster fire called old national. Also, I was getting these accounts because I inherited money, (quite a large amount) and property, and in order to get this money I needed a bank account. So thank you regional manager of old national for making me realize that you were not the ppl I would trust to handle my millions. I hope your ego and getting out of work on time was worth it! And by the way I’m loving my life and my new bankers as well we have developed a lovely relationship and I’m excited for what the future brings! God bless you and have a nice day!
