  If you are thinking of opening an account with Citi, don’t! My experience with this branch and the general customer service has been sadly disappointing. The process of opening the account was hectic, the banker was having trouble reading the documents correctly and causing huge waste of time. Then the teller can’t distinguish checking account from saving account. They deposited money into the wrong account, after I explicitly said otherwise, causing me to overdrew my accounts. Basically almost no one can do their job properly. It wouldn’t surprise me that one day I’ll get locked out of my account and no one can/will help. Moving my money to other banks.

  This had to be one of the longest transactions in recorded banking history. I had to cancel out my previous debit card out a few days prior, due to fraud, and because I didn't have a debit card, the Banker had to enter all of my information manually, had me jump through several hoops, which took the Banker 25-27 minutes to complete the transaction. I was on my way to a store and then to work, but with the transaction taking so long, I didn't have time to go to the store, and had to hurry to work just to make it on time. The other location on 87th Street and Stoney Island was able to give me cash a couple of days ago, within 5 minutes. I wish I had never attempted to get cash from the Citibank location on 55th and Ellis. The University makes it hard to access and the customer service in terms of wait and transaction time is the worst! Those on a time schedule, beware and avoid!

  This location is a joke. They only cater to students and international ppl. If you have personal business to take care of, forget it. There’s only one banker and one teller. Dont get me wrong the employees are very nice and pleasant, overall DO NOT EVER WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO THIS LOCATION, TRASH!!!

  Outright Disgraceful..... I Put a $160.00 in the Bank Last Monday at 4am in the morning. I was not giving Credit.. So I went to this Branch at 10:30am when it opened.. Manager Found that the ATM was in error...It is the weekend No Money in the Account and no Credit.. (You Explain it!!!) I Have so much attached to this account, when things settle I will drop this account and Never recommend them, and become an Advocate against them.....
