This has to be the most incompetent financial institution I've ever done business with. I opened a credit card online after hours Friday October 17th 2025. I was reached out to the following Saturday around noon to finish and confirm the process. With the actual account being opened Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Immediately I was able to activate a digital version of the card and add it to my Apple Wallet for immediate use. On or about Monday, October 27, 2025 I received the physical card in the mail and was unable to activate it due the information printed on the card (CVV and Expiration Date) not matching information in the system. I've tried calling VISA card services which was of no use; since the calls are touted overseas to agents who barely speak English. I then reached out to AACU Member Services who also routes their calls overseas to barely English speaking agents with no success. Today, Thursday November 20, 2025; I stopped into an actual branch where the teller was pleasant but unfortunately unable to help me and only gave instructions to them reach back out to VISA myself - again. So I just closed the card. Once my direct deposit information updates with every other institution that I do business with; I'll be closing all my accounts with AACU.
I totally support and believe in the vision and services of credit unions. Every person in a physical location was pleasant however; I couldn't knowingly after my experiences with this institution recommend them.
