Credit Union
P1FCU is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative. We have grown to now serve members in 19 counties in Idaho, 8 counties in Oregon and the entire state of Washington. We were organized by a group of individuals with the desire to make lending more readily available for employees of Potlatch Forests, Inc. Over 80 years later we are staying true to our organizational values while servicing members in a tri-state region.

    I've had great experiences over the years with P1FCU, working with them on everything from personal banking to financing vehicle and home purchases. Their tellers and office staff have always been professional, kind, and respectful. Joely, their Moscow Mortgage Officer, was a great communicator and was great to work with. I highly recommend working with P1FCU.

    Update-apparently they froze my card after a purchase I made online early in the morning. I didn’t receive any message or call about them doing this, and the charge still went through. That makes no sense, and the fact that it took me 2 hours to finally get this straightened out is kind of ridiculous. Get it together P1FCU! My debit card was declined twice at a restaurant. I had plenty of money in my account. So I called and got the phone tree with a 30 minute wait. I remember 25 years ago when you got a person on the phone right away. I kinda feel like the credit union has gotten so big it’s starting to act like a bank, and not just because of the difficulty of trying to reach someone. I tried to use their chat, but each time I chose representative, it said my session had timed out. So I abandoned that route. I got a call back about 15 minutes later and just missed it. So now I guess we play phone tag all day. Just glad I had Latah credit union debit card with me too.

    Terrible experience. Wouldn’t let me catch up with payments and wanted a full $10,000 up front after some family members passed away.

    I've been a customer with P1FCU since moving up here 4 or 5 years ago. Was told a couple weeks ago I was approved for a $25k car loan at 7.74%. In the mail today, that was reversed. It's kind of funny since me and my kids will transfer more than that in cash elsewhere now that we're shopping for a new bank. Not sure if the person at the counter was wrong or if the underwriter overturned the decision. Subaru (via US Bank) financed me at 2.9% instead so it's all good. That was the last straw in believing credit unions are better than big banks. Glad I shopped around for the best rate rather than just trusting my credit union.
