I have been banking at this branch specifically because of the friendly staff that have always greeted me with a smile. Originally I chose them because it was close to my place of employment but chose to stay with them even though it is currently WAY out of my area .

Far and away the best banking staff in ever had to deal with in my life. And I was once engaged to a banker, that relationship didn’t work out. My relationship with the staff at this branch works and works better and has for far longer than the one I was engaged to.
5 stars for sure. Can I give 6? If you’re banking elsewhere, you obviously dislike banking, your money, people, and probably your kids. These are truly nice people who actually give a shit about their clients. Well, at least me it seems.

No no no…. This is my bank. You stay away. The staff at this bank feel like friends I’ve known for over a decade. If everyone shows up and starts banking here that will cut into the time I get to spin with my banking professionals. That would piss me off. The staff here at A+, top notch, and all deserve a pay raise for having to deal with me. I’m one that may lack tact at times, but they still make every visit efficient, at times educational, and we make each other laugh. If half of meridian shows up then I’ll feel as if I should watch my mouth, but I won’t. In fact if you all suddenly mob this place I’m going to start a collection of the rudest, most inappropriate, and offensive joke in existence and will drop them in glorious strings leaving you feeling like you need a shower.
My bank. Get? Mine. The staff are the best and you can go elsewhere. No more professional staff in banking exists, which is good for me… bad for you because you get to go do your banking elsewhere. 5 stars for this branch, but it’s mine. You go bank somewhere else.

I hate ATMs, especially ones that face the sun and are impossible to read. Plus I’m a Gen-Xer so I generally avoid online banking in any form. I do that because nothing replaces having a personal relationship with your banking professionals. I could have switched banks to something closer to my home but it’s the personal relationships that I’ve developed that Mae me feel confident that my finances are handled securely and correctly. The staff at my Franklin Rd. Branch are extremely efficient, they know my quirks such as how I like my cash when withdrawn. I loathe the concept of a wallet full of 20’s, and so I’m given 50’s. Why’s that important? Because it shows they pay personal attention to me, as a person. If I have an issue or question, they crank off a printout of the last months transactions and have on numerous occasions gone above and beyond to take time and go line by line with me until I discover the issue. These people are like friends, that just happen to handle your money. It’s a good thing to have a friend who is a cop, and one that’s a lawyer, and several that are true banking professionals. There’s been days where everything has gone wrong and I’m ready to spit fire, that all changes after a few minutes visiting with my WaFed banking professionals. A bank is a bank is a bank, what makes it special is the staff. They tolerate my off color humor, are patient with me while I’m melting down and I always walk out of the branch feeling better. Like I said, a bank is a bank, is a bank, but it’s the people that make this bank special, and that’s why I return again and again. I’m a massive jerk, and still they’re always happy to see me, and even wonder when I don’t come in for an extended period. They make me smile and for me that’s huge. I’d recommend that everyone bank here but I won’t because I don’t want to have to wait in line behind you. It’s my bank damn it! Mine! Mine! Mine! 5 stars all the way, now go bank somewhere else.

How do I deposit a check after hours?
There are two easy ways to deposit a check on evenings and weekends. Every WaFd Bank branch has a smart ATM that allows you to deposit checks (and cash) without using an envelope. And you’ll see images of your deposit check right on your receipt.
You can also deposit a check using your smartphone. With Mobile Photo Deposit, use the WaFd Bank mobile banking app to snap a photo of the front and back of your check. Just follow the on-screen instructions.
Reminder: A hold applies to items deposited via the ATM or mobile photo deposit until we can verify the validity of the items deposited. If you’d like to request that the hold be removed earlier than normal, please call our Client Care Center at 1-800-324-9375.
How do I access my account online?
Access your WaFd Bank checking, savings, money market and CDs – as well as your loans with us – via online and mobile banking. Sign up is easy, just visit our Online Banking and Mobile enrollment page.
You’ll need at least one account number along with your Social Security Number to get started. Once you’re enrolled, you can also download our mobile app and link your accounts to your smartphone. Start with a visit to the Apple App or Google Play store and search for “WaFd Bank”.
What to do if I’ve lost my debit card?
Call us right away if you’ve lost your debit card or suspect it might be stolen. You may call your local branch, or our Client Care Center is available at 1-800-324-9375.
Does WaFd Bank offer car, motorcycle, RV, or boat loans?

Did Washington Federal change its name?
Washington Federal did modify the name, to WaFd Bank. We are still the same bank you trust. We launched the simplified name because the previous title did not emphasize that we are a bank. Our solution? Put the word “bank” in our name - WaFd Bank.

How do I order more checks?
To order checks, sign in to Online Banking. Select the checking account you're ordering for and click Order Checks from the Action menu on the right hand side of the screen. This will direct you to our partner's external website to browse the check catalogue and place an order.
Treasury Prime clients can order checks from the Dashboard tab, select Check Orders available on the Navigation Center widget.
Treasury Express clients can order checks by selecting Resources from left side menu and then Check Reorder.
How do I request a copy of my bank tax statement?
Please contact the Client Care Center @ 1-800-324-9375 to request your 1099/1098 as they are not available online.

What happened to telephone banking?
WaFd Bank has rolled out a new voice activated banking service that replaces our former telephone banking.
What is voice activated banking?
Voice activated banking is a service that uses your unique voice to verify who you are. After you’ve authenticated your identity securely using your voice, our automated service lets you manage your accounts using voice commands such as "What’s my balance?" or "Transfer funds".
Signing up is easy:
If you haven’t already, you must sign up for consumer online or mobile banking.
Next, please call 800-324-9375 so that we can set up your voice activated banking profile --- you’ll then be guided to record your voice, so that our service can authenticate you going forward.
Anytime you call in, the service will ask you to authenticate using your voice. Once authenticated the service says, "Hi, how can I help you today?" and the offers suggestions including provide balance, transfer, or talk to an agent.
