- JSJames SOct 14, 20242.0Met with a "financial advisor" and the only thing she did was tell me to borrow money from my parents to pay off debt, or take from my 401k, and then spent 20 minutes telling me how she paid off her daughter's school debt that way. I don't have a problem with the typical bank interactions with the tellers, but I immediately left the bank and looked for a different institution to get financial advice from because I felt like I'd get better advice from Google than I did from the "advisor". I'll certainly not be doing any lending through Wells Fargo. Actually, the "advisor" even said to go somewhere else for that, so at least she gave one good bit of advice.
