- JAJennifer AlbertSep 5, 20251.0I was the victim of a Marketplace scam involving Zelle. This happened on a Friday around 11:00 pm central time. Once I figured out what was happening I hung up with the fake customer service agent. I went to the closest Wells Fargo right away so when they opened the following day, which was a Saturday. Instead of assisting me with my issue, I was told to just contact the number on the back of my debit Card to dispute the charges. I did exactly that and one of the large transactions that was pending was allowed to clear. After disputing this twice they have said that the charge was authorized. I lost my job a year ago have not been able to find a job and only has 0.27 in my account. Now they say I owe -$800.
