- PNPhillip NaylorJan 5, 20221.0Expressed interest to set up a Roth IRA, mutual fund, and a 529 plan. I scheduled a phone interview for the next day with Brett Morris through Debbie (I believe the Office Manager). I waited throughout the day and received no call from Mr. Morris and no notification of cancellation. I called in after 2pm to check the status of our meeting and Debbie was extremely rude and implied that she was not responsible for notifying me that they would not be attending. When dealing with significant potential clients, I’m shocked at the lack of communication skills and lack of basic accountability. Debbie then, instead of apologizing for not notifying me stated “there are other places to invest in town”. I then said that I will do that and thank you. In retrospect, I am glad that this Edward Jones is honest and upfront with their character and values. I will take our family assets, retirement accounts and investment portfolios elsewhere.
