- BOBill OwenAug 30, 20231.0I stamped almost $30K in checks with "Deposit Only" and sent my business partner to Wells Fargo to deposit them. She also has her name on the account in which the checks were to be deposited in. Wells Fargo refused to deposit my checks without my signature regardless of having the "Deposit Only" stamp. So; evidently any other person finding these checks, whether I know them or not, could abscond with these funds if found. Evidently WELLS FARGO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND' OR CARE' THAT BY ENDORSING THESE CHECKS PRIOR TO DEPOSIT MAKES THEM A TARGET FOR THEFT. Once my accounting year is done I think (pretty sure) I will look elsewhere for my banking needs. If this was the first PITA issue I have had here I would let it slide' but.. I wonder why Wells Fargo is laying off so many people..

On all the occasions that I have been, the procedure has always been very fast, Even when they realized that there were already many people in line, they called someone else to attend us and make it faster and more satisfactory.
