- JCJohn ChiffySep 2, 20253.0Terrible experience...I have been a Hickam Federal and now Lokahi member for over 30 years. I came to the branch to have a single page notarized. This service should not require an appointment, especially when the branch has ZERO customers. I was even willing to wait, but that was not an option offered. The front counter person, did go to speak with the notary in the glass office; when he returned we were informed there were no appointments today. This is the worst customer service, primarily because there were no customers in the branch. But instead, I received an insincere smile and an "Aloha." Thanks for nothing. UPDATE: Went immediately to Navy Federal Credit Union and they instantly helped me and got me in and out with my document notarized in under 5 minutes. Final UPDATE: Received a very polite phone call and apology from Sheleah at the branch this morning. There was a miscommunication on the service as this branch is currently unable to provide any notary service while the notary is under going a name change. This is a perfectly acceptable response and completely understandable. I very much appreciate the phone call this morning from Sheleah and am raising rating from 1-star to 3-stars.

While I’ve had smooth and friendly service in the past for basic transactions, my recent experience at the Pearl City branch was extremely disappointing. When I asked a teller to assist with a more complex issue, things quickly went downhill. The service became unprofessional, the process was inconvenient, and it took over a week for my claim to be addressed. Unfortunately, even after all that time, the issue wasn’t truly resolved. The teller seemed unsure of what she was doing and offered little help or guidance. It left me frustrated and questioning the training and standards at this location. I won’t be returning to the Pearl City branch, and I hope the bank takes steps to improve the service and support for customers dealing with more than just basic transactions.
