- IMIsa MaluhiaFeb 12, 20251.0Bank of Hawaii is not for the people. Had a banking error with zelle, combined with an auto savings app called acorns. And the bank of hawaii account went negative, while I had funds being transfered into the account they charged me $240 in overdraft fee's in less than a week. Why not just stop transactions from going through if the account goes negative? Its because Bank of Hawaii wants to charge you wild overdraft fee's. $30-$60 a day. Accidents happen, but Bank of Hawaii doesnt care about you, just your money. Not a Pono company. 100% Do Not Recommend Bank of Hawaii.

We took out 300 american cash, the lady at the desk somehow managed to charge us three seperate times (not finding this out till I got my statement in the mail) so currently im down over 600 american that is currently in disputes between my bank and bank of hawaii. Not sure how this mistake happens and THREE TIMES that is, do not recommend
