- BDBrittany DennisJun 23, 20251.0I don’t know who this loan company is, but I received a mailer that I opened an account with them. Upon further investigation, I was informed that a check was mailed and cashed to an unknown individual. I am temporarily living in Texas and so happen to come home for Mother’s Day (because they stated I needed to complete a fraud affidavit) to check on this. They stated they would submit the affidavit to have this account removed. One month later, I am still receiving mailers stating I have a past due balance. When I called to check on the status, Jack transferred me to John at the local branch (although I called the local branch number - I don’t know what that was about), and John didn’t give me a status on my case, but stated he would resubmit the affidavit. I don’t believe it was submitted in the first place. When I came into the location, neither of the associates seemed like they knew what they needed to do in order to get this fraud process investigated. Who sends out live checks off a soft pull for a loan for over a $3000?!! Idiotic tactic. Although it has not pinged my credit, I don’t want anything linked to my social that was not authorized by me. One star for lack of efficiency and proficiency. If I receive another payment request, I’m proceeding with legal.

What is the difference between interest rate vs APR?
