- DDD. DWMar 8, 20235.0We had visited First Citizens Bank January 2022, just before moving to Savannah. My daughter was trying to decide - buy a house, or invest..? She ended up buying a house. With that choice, we kept our accounts with Wells Fargo and 5th/3rd and moved from north Georgia to Savannah. As the months passed, we noticed issues with both "big banks". The last straw, so to speak, was at Wells Fargo on Bull St. yesterday. There was an issue with a deposit being held for an extended period of time, no partial credit, and one excuse after another of why they could not resolve it, including the bank manager being at lunch...at 2:35p, returning in 45 minutes. 🤨 We left... What to do..? We walked over to First Citizens Bank, remembering how nice the staff were before. It was the same when we walked in asking questions about new accounts, bank holds, etc. Ms. Mandy Young answered our questions and said that the bank offered a "night drop box" for folks who didn't want to use the ATM. I'm in my 50's and I love 🥰 the old fashioned ways of people being directly involved in helping customers. The night drop box was a bonus! The next morning, we stopped by Wells Fargo on Bull St., just to see if the bank manager was able to assist us. She was present, speaking to a man behind a glass partition, she saw us, and then ignored us. One of the bankers (new accounts) offered to get the manager and the teller we interacted with the day before told him not to. There were no other customers aside from a fellow sitting with a banker at his desk. We left and headed over to First Citizens to set up new accounts. We had to wait a wee bit for Ms. Mandy, but in no time, my daughter had a new checking and savings account with an auto deposit slip for her payroll... 👋Good bye, Wells Fargo! 👋 💖 Hello, Customer Service! 😉👍
