- AMAlissa MauroAug 29, 20251.0Applied for a checking & savings account with this bank, was denied immediately. My credit and history with other banks is in good standing. They couldn’t tell me “why” I was denied, gave me a number to call to find out “why”, all it sent me to was a website where I can check my credit, which is in good standing. Never got an answer on WHY I was denied. I suggest going to Bank of Newington, I was approved there for a Savings and Checking account & to refinance my car through them! Definitely seems like a sketchy bank

But today was the last straw, when I called to check why my direct deposit hadn't went through yet ( usually already in my account before I ever make it to work) to which one of the ladies informed me they were having issues with direct deposits, "ok, can you give me any information on when my money will be available to me?" Her: " No I'm sorry, we don't have a time you're funds will be available" with the most unapologetic attitude. This place does not care one bit about it's customers. Pay close attention to the rating this place has unfortunately it's way more generous than what it should be. Do better. I'll be taking my money elsewhere.
