- GGGreg GriffinJul 2, 20241.0I do not recommend that you do business with First Citizens Bank. I had a very disappointing and surprising experience. I was told that they could save me money on my credit card processing fees. At that point, my merchant provider fees were $35 a month plus client credit card usage. After signing on with First Citizens, my fees more than doubled to $75 a month plus client credit card usage. When I realized that, I requested to terminate the partnership and was told there was a $295 early termination fee. Because I wanted to terminate the agreement due to their misinformation, I requested that they waive the termination fee, which they refused to do. My wisest choice was to cut my losses, which I did. My new merchant services provider fees are $16 a month and they matched the processing fees under the First Citizens agreement. I am now saving $59 a month after exiting the First Citizens agreement before I even process my first client payment.

But she was so nasty and overly rude. I feel I should have just kept my business with Charles Schwab, I needed some information regrading a business checking and saving account and she seemed very dismissive, irritated and uninterested. This type of behavior is damaging to First Citizen Bank good reputation that I heard so much about from other partners within my firm. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE LACK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE I RECEIEVED..... They treated me better at the Wells Fargo less than a block away....
