- ZZZaeDec 2, 20251.0When trying to go deposit my annual holiday check from my grandma, Rose the manager and her team would Not deposit it and called my grandma who is sick with cancer currently, I had no idea they were contacting her until they had already called. I would’ve rather taken the check back or then called her bank or personal banker to verify. Instead they called an old woman sick with cancer without communicating with the customer. They stated it was a third party issue but the check is from Wells Fargo to another. This kind of behavior is extremely unprofessional. This is someone’s personal life and personal funds. Then she proceeded to ask me what I’m going to spend my money on which is also extremely inappropriate. It seems this is a common issue at this branch.

I’ve banked with Wells Fargo for 4 years now and not once have I ever been asked about what IM going to spend it on. Do not deposit checks in branch it will waste your time saying they have to double verify it because they are 3rd partying for you. She insisted next time I just mobile deposit so nobody’s time is wasted. Very unprofessional and needs better training on how to handle customer interactions.
