I've been coming to this location for 4 + years as of being an account holder and I have always gotten some kind of weird interaction but today was a very interesting day. Every time I go in there they always ask me if I have an account. Which at this location I made my FIRST ACCOUNT there. I even made a CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT at this location. Plus coming here for questions and concerns whenever I needed help.
Today I had to get change on 6/10 and this Indian associate asks me if I have an account. I'm assuming she's fairly new because I'm usually here twice a week to deposit or get change but that's no big deal. I say yes and then she says "Okay, I'll have to see your ID." Wait a minute, why do you have to see my ID for? Why do you need to see my driver's license? And she replied "It's store policy and I need to make sure you have an account."
This is what questions me, I could have easily told her off or just showed her my Wells Fargo card. But why do you need to see my ID for?
I declined to her giving my identification and I went to go get change at a different location with NO HASSLE WHATSOEVER.
I swear I think it's a racial issue in this store because there was a white man before me and he wanted to get change as well and they just gave him change but when someone with different colored skin asks to get change we have to go through a 12 step process or something.
