- JJJordanApr 20, 20211.0DO NOT try to get a mortgage through them, at least not the one in Jasper, Georgia. We should have listened to several other couples that warned us about trying to get a mortgage through United community Bank, but we did anyway. They constantly drop the ball, Are unable to close on time, have unlimited excuses and make you jump through hoops just to get a mortgage even after you are approved. They were horrible for us when we were buying our last house. Now that we are selling the buyers are trying to use them as well, and it’s been a nightmare for them. They refuse to be held accountable for not making the closing date. Renee is a nice lady, but their department as a whole is a joke.
