  I applied for a Wells Fargo small business account in July and had one of the worst banking experiences I’ve ever encountered. My account was abruptly closed within days, and I was bounced back and forth between the branch and the loss prevention department with no clear answers. After multiple visits, hours wasted, inconsistent information, and poor communication, I decided doing business was Wells Fargo would not be in my best interest. If you’re a small business owner, save yourself the frustration. Wells Fargo is unprofessional, disorganized, and not worth your time. I would highly recommend Chase Bank. R. Washington

  Today I went to Wells Fargo to pick up my husband’s debit card and driver’s license, which he accidentally left behind. He couldn’t make it before they closed due to work, so he asked me to go on his behalf. When I arrived, the staff refused to release either item to me or even just his ID. I completely understand and respect security policies, but when I politely asked for a further explanation or to see the written policy, the manager flat-out told me, “I don’t have to do that.” I tried handing them the phone so my husband could speak to her and she refused to take it. I had to put the call on speaker, which made the entire situation feel unnecessarily rude and embarrassing. Now, my husband has to drive around without a license until next week. This could have been handled with more professionalism and basic courtesy. I wasn’t looking for an exception, just some respect and a clear explanation.

  **BEWARE FALSE PROMOTIONS & HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE** Opened up a bank account here today, I wasn’t very satisfied with their customer service, I had to jump through hoops because my address on my license was different than my new mailing address, I just recently moved and didn’t have anything with my new address.. luckily I was able to update my address in my work portal which the associate was able to take, I was far from impressed with his service which he claimed he had 10 years experience doing…. I then find out I’m not eligible for the $200 promotion they offer for new customers opening accounts…. All because I went into the branch to open the account????? THIS MAKES NO SENSE…? I will most likely be closing this account with them and be taking my money and business elsewhere. I’ve been told by friends and relatives Bank of America and Regions have more customer appreciation and better customer service. Save yourself time and avoid Wells Fargo Hamilton mill/Dacula and Wells Fargo period.
