  As a customer making a substantial lump-sum payment to close out my auto loan, I expected a basic level of professionalism and courtesy. Unfortunately, this branch of Wells Fargo (Macon Rd, Columbus GA) fell short in every regard. The tellers were dismissive and unhelpful, and the branch manager showed no interest in addressing my concerns or ensuring the process was handled smoothly. This experience reflects extremely poor customer service and a lack of respect for clients conducting significant financial transactions. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Wells Fargo or this location.

  The Glitch

  At approximately 8:20 am on tuesday morning I walked into the bank and spoke to the most unmotivated and completely rude bank associate named Erin. She was wearing a cardigan and glasses and is the type of employee I, the manager at autozone which is located directly across the street, would terminate, effective immediately, with cause. I was not in my Sunday best so I assume she felt she could speak to me anyway she pleased. I had one question which was why my account was accidentally overdrafted a few days prior but after putting money in my account I could not retrieve any money that day prior. Andrew, the visiting manager was able to answer my question with as if he was someone with common sense, no struggle and I left pleasantly. As a fellow black person with dreadlocks much like Erin herself, I do not write this lightly. But she is the type of person who does not appreciate her position and doesnt deserve it. She offered no help, demanded I call customer service and walked away from me when I asked her to and I quote "Please, stop cutting me off." I have been at this bank since it was Wachovia. This is unacceptable.

  If you're going to lie to a customer at least wait until they leave to talk about it. Don't think because you walk to the back we can't hear you! I heard her whole scheme to tell me they are not allowed to print statements more than 3 months, and she would never do it again. That was after she complained the whole time before going to get the papers saying things like I have had a printer my whole life.... Why and how is that relevant to me. I have a printer too I just didn't realize I could do it myself because the other banks I have been to don't have a problem with doing it. They crazy part is after she went to the back and her and her coworker laughed and talked about it she came back and said the exact lie to my face. Everybody should not work customer service. Also, the bank was not busy when I was there at all she just didn't want to do her job!
