After waiting for two weeks for a significant amount check to clear, I discovered that the recipient hadn't received it. I promptly placed a stop payment on the check, only to be slapped with a $35 fee. When I contested the fee, the bank reluctantly agreed to waive it "this time only." To my dismay, a week later, the same check was cashed by the recipient. Not only did the bank fail to prevent the check from going through, but it also conveniently forgot to uphold its promise to waive the fee. The lack of reliability and the subsequent inconvenience make it clear that Bank OZK is not a trustworthy institution. Save yourself the trouble and find a more reliable bank for your financial needs.
