We were BB&T clients and still chose to stay when it became Truist. The Bremen branch ATM just took my cash deposit of $400 and didn't credit my account. I called customer service and was told a claim would have to be submitted becauae they use a 3rd party company and it could take 7-10 business days to resolve. After speaking with a supervisor I was told 1-2 business days and Saturday and Sunday don't count. I understand computers can mess up but having to wait any amount of time for cash that was deposited into my account to be put in my account is nuts. The ATM is always broken amd finally when it is working I get screwed out of $400. Once this is resolved I will be closing our account that we have had 20+ years. And you can barely understand customer service when you call because they don't speak good English and have ZERO empathy and bedside manner.

Im opening a new grocery store in Buchanan called Moonie Mart. I needed a checking account quick and they got me setup easily and we're very friendly. Highly suggest business checking at this location.

Instead of offering a friendly, empathetic experience or providing additional context regarding the decision to reject my alternate form of ID, Deborah decided to be curt with zero bedside manner. Is this really how you treat local small business customers or were you just having a bad day and thought your abrasive attitude was appropriate? A stark contrast to the corporate customer support team I called right after who were not only apologetic about my experience, but also provided procedural context to the branch rejection - which is valid had that information been provided versus how I was not informed and treated in-person. I came back with my passport and was assisted by another representative who was both helpful and friendly. Looking forward to banking here regularly as it is my local branch, and making a point to avoid this contemptuous coordinator like the plague.
