- LALewis ArtsMay 23, 20251.0Racist!! Worst bank in the history of America. They closed my account with no explanation. I was told to come into the branch to get my funds that were left in the account. When I arrived they called Sandy Springs police on me and accused me of fraud. The police brought 2 squads (12 officers). I had 12 guns pointed at me. I thought they were going to kill me. They forced me out of my car and threatened to taser me because I asked what I was being detained for. They threw me in the back of a squad car where I sat, in handcuffs, baking in the 90° heat for almost two hours. I've never been so humiliated and dehumanized in my life. I literally thought I was going to die. Upon further investigation I was released. The bank workers refused to give me their business cards and also gave me a fake number for corporate. The mental and emotional damage done to me on May 22, 2025 by United Community bank (Roswell RD) is completely unnecessary and intolerable. They don't treat their customers of color with any dignity or respect. In their eyes I was a criminal and not worthy of banking with them. To falsely accuse me of something I didn't do and almost have me arrested and/or killed is unforgivable.
