Not leaving Donna a five-star review would be unfortunate, because she deserves even more than that! From the moment I walked into her office to open my account, her warm and welcoming energy made the entire experience unforgettable. Donna was incredibly patient, informative, and genuinely cared about making sure I understood everything. It’s rare to receive service that feels this personal and attentive. Donna truly went above and beyond, and I’m grateful for the amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Ongoing Poor Service, Delayed Transactions, and Unreliable Support On May 19th, I went to the Truist Bank branch off Memorial Drive to deposit a check. The line inside was long, with only three employees working the counter at a very slow pace, so I used the ATM instead. As of May 24th, that check still has not cleared. Meanwhile, I deposited another check at Navy Federal Credit Union on May 23rd, and it cleared the next day—May 24th—which clearly shows the problem isn’t with the check, but with Truist. Unfortunately, this is not a one-time issue. The customer service at this branch is consistently terrible. The employees behave as though customers work for them, not the other way around. There is no urgency, no courtesy, and absolutely no accountability. To make matters worse, when I try to call Truist customer service, the calls are clearly outsourced, and it's very difficult to understand the representatives. There’s often a language barrier, and it adds even more frustration when you're already dealing with delayed funds and poor in-person service. At this point, I’ve lost confidence in Truist Bank and will be closing all of my accounts next week. I cannot continue to trust a bank that is this unresponsive, inefficient, and customer-unfriendly.

The 5 stars is for my recent experience at the Madison Yards branch, which was excellent thanks to Donna McCrary. She was attentive, professional, compassionate, and helpful in getting a check deposit (on which the Truist Corporate/back office had placed an 11-calendar-day hold) approved so I had access to my funds the next day, saving me from having to scramble to fulfill some financial obligations. My experience with Truist Bank (the corporation) in general has NOT been so good. The reason is that they too often put these random holds on my deposits in spite of my being a customer for over 15 years, and in spite of there being a very clear and consistent pattern to my deposits (timing and amount) over the entire 15-year period. Their "computer algorithms" (on which the 800# customer service employees I've spoken with often try to blame these holds) would easily be able to detect as much, so I don't buy that excuse for a minute! Back to the plus side, thanks to Donna (and I'd also like to thank Gio Baisotti for his role during my visit), I have decided to remain a Truist customer for now---and hope that these random holds do not occur anymore in the future!

This is my favorite Truist branch to visit. Some of the reviews indicate that it's slow. It is, but that's likely a resource issue from the top, not an in branch issue. Beyond that it's the exact kind of slow I like. The kind that takes time to ask about family. The kind that focuses on you and your needs until you feel satisfied. The kind that looks at your financial needs as a process and a consultation rather than just a transaction to rush you out of the door. The kind of slow that reminds us that the heart of Atlanta is about making a community feel connected and cared about and serviced, and sometimes that takes time. Thanks Ms Donna and others for always getting the job done for me!
